Bahareh Khomeiry is an Iranian-born, UK-based ceramic artist and educator whose work explores identity, symbolism, and cultural memory through sculptural ceramics and handmade tiles. Influenced by her background in architecture and Persian visual traditions, her practice combines expressive clay forms with elements of architectural ornament and symbolic storytelling. After completing a BA in Architecture, she developed a deep interest in the craftsmanship and visual language of Persian handmade tiles. This led her to pursue a BA in Ceramics and establish her own handmade tile studio in 2018, producing hand-painted ceramic murals and panels for architectural projects. Since 2020, her practice has expanded into contemporary sculptural ceramics exploring themes of identity, cultural heritage, and social issues, including works responding to women’s protest movements in Iran. Alongside her studio practice, she teaches ceramics to adult learners in the UK and contributes to workshops with charities supporting women and adults with special needs. Her work has been exhibited in Iran and UK.
